WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!

I'm pretty easygoing, and I love the outdoors. I love hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding, and getting dirty. I didn't even care if I got muddy. Some might say I have a little bit of a tomboy in me. I am loyal to the Youngblood family and my siblings. I will never turn on them, no matter what comes our way. I am also a bit adventurous and loving towards my family. I enjoy taking some time to try new things, and I'm not afraid to compete with the guys.
On the other side, I can be stubborn. Once I think of something, it will take a while to say no or change my mind. I am very serious when I get into my work. And it makes me a workaholic when it comes to schoolwork. Or even homework. I am a perfectionist and will make sure it is done, no matter how many times it takes me to finish an assignment. I might be up all night trying to complete it. I can be a little impulsive as I interact with the world around me. I also flirt with some of the guys at school, but who doesn't enjoy doing that when you're my age?
My name is Serina Celia Youngblood. I was the fifth born into the Youngblood family. My parents are Trace Youngblood and Leila Youngblood. I was born on November 15th, when the leaves were changing colors and starting to fall. The colder days were starting to come. But I came into the world crying. I don't believe I gave my parents that hard of a time. But I imagine I gave them some sleepless nights when I was a newborn.
My dad was an outlaw biker. My family pretty much lived and breathed the club. I had a lot of good memories. When I was four years old, I got my first minibike and learned how to ride it. I started trying out sports. I joined Motocross around seven years old and loved it. It was a blast. I loved to ride so much. However, I was good at other sports like horseback riding, tennis, and cheerleading as the other sports I grew up with.
I went into high school as I continued some of the sports like horseback riding and cheerleading, as I couldn’t give up easily. I also started getting interested in guys. I dated one guy who was a part of the football team. Of course, he was all brawn and had no brains; he left me for another cute cheerleader, and boy was I mad for that one. And another guy I dated was a part of the hockey team. He was a tough guy too, but it didn’t seem to last. As he was so focused on hockey, he didn’t seem to have time for me either.
When I was nineteen, my family went on an outing with our bikes. It was something that we did every weekend to forget our troubles. It was an ordinary day until it wasn’t. A day I wasn’t going to forget. My family came up towards a bridge called the Gallatin Bridge over the Gallatin River.A car clipped Jace and Rebekah's bikes. I remember those awful screams from my siblings. And the drunk driver struck my mom’s bike, and the impact sent her flying off the bridge. I had kept driving for a little bit; I stopped and turned around. It felt like time had stopped.
Rebekah and Jace kept screaming from pain until they passed out. I ran towards the bridge to see what happened. Lyra was already on the phone, calling 911. Dread filled me as I saw the smoke. My brothers Ethan, TJ, and Dad went down looking to see if our mother had survived. My siblings were taken to the hospital once the ambulance arrived, and I followed.
I pretty much lived at the hospital. I was exhausted from the crying. I only went home to take a shower, sleep, and would repeat it. My brother Jace had a broken arm, but that didn’t seem to stop him. I heard that the man had been put into custody after being treated for his injuries. I never forgave the man what he did to my family.
After my siblings returned from the hospital, time passed very slowly. I mourned with them and would often retreat to my room. Not eating much for days. I would sometimes doodle, write, or draw in my diary. Like my other siblings, I believe my mother was still alive. And she is out there somewhere. My siblings haven't given up looking for her. They continued to look, knowing that she could still be alive even though the authorities had given up. We still hadn’t. I will be going to the university during the fall and continuing my classes there. I am also training to become a High Mountain Ranger.

The night was young as Damien felt a chill in the air. He stepped outside feeling winter's grasp still on them but barely. It would not be long before Spring came around and welcomed the new season without question. He was growing weary of the cold winter months, while his werewolf form didn't seem to mind it. He was protected with warm fur that could survive the elements of the cold with no problem. The last bit of snow had melted, while a little bit of frost still clung to the windows. The cold nights were numbered as the warmth would eventually take over.
As Damien stepped out, he had his phone in hand. He had a book in another looking at old astrology charts. The paper was worn with age with a handful of tears from on the sides, as they had scrawled pieces of notes written on it. Because of this, Damien was able to see and recognize some of the planets in the sky as he could point out where he was. Then the moon phases on another page as he flipped through the papers that he had. Damien knew in a couple of weeks, his werewolf form would come out. He still had time. It didn't bother him that much now.
"I see now, so that's where we are. The moon is, half full and will not change for a while." Damien said as that was calming enough. His own home in Quincy had been a small apartment that he had rented out for a couple of months ahead of time. To have his roof over his head was rewarding, and he had enjoyed it. As he began to walk down the streets, there was a nearby park that he could frequent. He smelled the damp air like a storm might come later that night. Along with the few scents of people who had been out that night walking their dogs or heading home. Damien had left Freki back in the apartment for a short amount of time. As he would be back in. And he'd never forget his companion.
